In 2008, I began creating more inclusive learning experiences for the children in my home day care. From the start, I recognised how important it was to adapt activities to meet the diverse needs of every child, ensuring that all learners felt supported and engaged.

Ten years later, I had the opportunity to open a specialist class for eight autistic children. It quickly became clear how challenging it was to find affordable, easy-to-use resources that truly supported the curriculum. That experience inspired me to begin creating materials that could be used by everyone—regardless of setting.

In 2024, I completed my Master’s in Education in Special Needs – Autism (Children). During my studies, I expanded my work to support autistic children in mainstream classrooms. It was then I realised just how great the need was for practical resources, advice, and training—not just for special schools, but for all teachers.

This realisation continues to drive my work with Elevating Neurodiversity, even as I work full-time as a specialist ASD teacher and as an ALN Tutor. I’m incredibly grateful for the support of my family, which makes it possible for me to do both.
